Chairman of Georgian Parliament Committee resigns

Chairman of the Committee on Health and Social Issues of the Georgian Parliament Akakiy Zoidze has resigned.

Report's Georgian bureau unforms that Zoidze said he had also left politics.

Notably, Zoidze offered to hold a referendum or plebiscite in Georgia over the transition to the proportional election system in 2020.

The ruling Georgian Dream Party did not support the proposal.
