Cavusoglu: Ukrainian, Russian delegations achieve tangible progress

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said that today, within the framework of the talks between Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul, tangible progress has been made compared to previous talks between the two countries, Report informs, citing the Turkish newspaper Hurriyet.
"More complex issues will be resolved at the highest levels - the foreign ministers of both countries will hold talks. Then the meeting of the presidents of the two countries is on the agenda," Cavusoglu stressed.
The Turkish minister also noted that today's talks are an indicator of trust in Turkey.
He noted that Turkey held separate meetings with the Ukrainian and Russian delegations and discussed issues related to humanitarian assistance and humanitarian corridors.
"We have evacuated over 16,500 citizens from Ukraine. We continue to work in coordination with the parties and international organizations to evacuate our citizens and citizens of other countries," he said and added that the issue of navigation safety for Turkish ships in the region was also discussed.
