The candidate for the post of Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gaharia threatened members of the opposition party of the United National Movement.

According to the Georgian bureau Report, at the parliamentary hearings, he called this party the street opposition.

Gaharia said that he would put an end to this party: "I do not intend to leave anywhere. I, Georgian citizens and voters will put an end to your party. You are just street opposition and you will remain on the street in 2020."

He accused the party of lies and slander. After that, deputies from the party of the United National Movement left the parliament and the hearing was adjourned. Opposition deputies joined the protest in front of the parliament.

During the parliamentary hearings, the opposition faction achieved a broadcast on a large monitor of a video reflecting the events of June 20-21 in Tbilisi. In this video, Gaharia was named a culprit.
