Türkiye is restricting the passage of commercial vessels into the Black Sea amid growing government concerns over increasingly frequent Russian and Ukrainian attacks on ships in the region.
Report informs via Bloomberg that the Turkish Directorate General of Coastal Safety has notified several vessels bound for Russia"s Novorossiysk - a key hub for oil and grain exports - that permits for such vessels are currently either not being issued or that applications to pass through the Dardanelles are taking additional time to process.
The exact duration and scope of the restrictions remain unclear.
