Baykar Makina says won't supply drones to Russia

The Turkish company Baykar Makina has never supplied its Bayraktar combat UAVs to Russia and has no such plans for the future, as it supports Ukraine, CEO Haluk Bayraktar said in an interview with CNN.

According to him, Turkiye and Ukraine are linked by strategic relations, including in defense and aerospace sectors. Turkiye supports Ukraine by supplying it with drones and buys engines for its devices there. Bayraktar noted that the relations turned out to be mutually beneficial for both countries.

In recent years, Turkiye launched the production of combat drones not only to meet the needs of its armed forces, but also for export. At the moment, there are already six states operating Turkish Bayraktar TB-2 drones: Azerbaijan, Qatar, Libya, Morocco, Poland and Ukraine.
