Azerbaijani, Somalian foreign ministers meet in Turkey’s Antalya

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Somalian Foreign and International Cooperation Minister Abdisaid Muse Ali on the sidelines of Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Report informs citing the Foreign Ministry.

The ministers discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries. At the same time, the two men exchanged views on cooperation between the countries within international organizations, including the Non-Aligned Movement.

Regional issues were also discussed at the meeting. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed his counterpart on the current situation in the region after the conflict. Somalian Foreign and International Cooperation Minister Abdisaid Muse Ali congratulated Azerbaijan on ensuring its territorial integrity.

The ministers also discussed cooperation in the field of education. The Somalian minister praised the allocation of scholarships by Azerbaijan within the Non-Aligned Movement and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and expressed interest in expanding cooperation in this area in the future.

The parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
