Azerbaijan, Georgia preparing new documents

“More than 100 documents have been signed between the governments of Azerbaijan and Georgia, and as far as I know, 15 documents are being prepared at the moment,” Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Parliament Sahiba Gafarova said at a meeting with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, the Georgian bureau of Report informs.

She said that economic cooperation between the two countries is of great importance: "Last year, during the pandemic, the trade turnover between our countries exceeded $500 million. This demonstrates the wide scale of our cooperation."

Gafarova noted that the Azerbaijani and Georgian delegations successfully cooperate in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, NATO, Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, OSCE and other international organizations.

The speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament also added that the ties between the friendship groups in the parliaments remain close.
