The Armenian Parliament has approved a draft law “On Starting the Process of Armenia's Accession to the European Union”, Report informs via Armenian media.
The draft law was presented yesterday by Artak Zeynalyan, on behalf of several public organizations that led the initiative and collected 60,000 signatures.
This draft law was approved by the government in January 2025. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had previously stated that this step does not mean Armenia's automatic accession to the EU, as such a decision must be put to a referendum.
