Armenian court upholds decision to arrest ex-defense minister Vigen Sargsyan

The Criminal Court of Appeal in Yerevan upheld the court decision on the arrest in absentia of former Defense Minister Vigen Sargsyan, who now lives in the United States and has been put on the wanted list, Report informs via Sputnik Armenia.

The court rejected the earlier complaint submitted by the defense of the ex-minister.

The Prosecutor General's Office of Armenia earlier reported that the former Minister of Defense of Armenia Vigen Sargsyan was charged and a petition for arrest was submitted to the court.
