Armenia's public debt has increased by $ 2.58 billion or 37.6% over four years, Report says with reference to the Armenian media sources.

The government has increased public debt by $ 1.25 billion in 2021 alone under the guise of anti-crisis measures. Over the past four months of 2022, public debt has increased by $ 222 million. A significant part of this money was spent by the Central Bank to stabilize the exchange rate.

The national debt per capita is about $ 3,200.

Over the past four years, $ 2.45 billion in debt has been spent, but Armenia's nominal GDP has increased by about $ 1.6 billion, and the average poverty rate has risen to 27% instead of falling.
