Armenia: Number of coronavirus cases grows by 1 098 in a day

Armenia confirmed 1 098 new coronavirus cases, bringing the nationwide tally to 150 218, Report says, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health.
The death toll reached 2 556 as 27 more fell victims to the virus. So far, 128 694 people have recovered from the infection.
There are currently 18 331 active COVID-19 patients in the country.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province and has spread to more than 200 countries and territories since then.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
