Armenia launches criminal case against 18 people

A large corruption scheme has been revealed in Armenia's forestry, since criminal cases have been launched against 18 people, Report informs citing news.am.
According to the Armenian Investigative Committee, some of them are charged with cutting trees, while some of abusing power. Some others are accused of bribe, and mediation in bribery.
As a result of the crime, the state faced 101 million 438 thousand 250 drams ($ 212 940) damage. 4 million drams ($ 8,400) of the amount were returned to the state budget.
