Another 79 people were infected with coronavirus, and one more person died in Armenia, Report informs, citing the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDCP) under the Health Ministry.

Thus, the number of people infected with the virus has reached 3,392. Forty-six out of them have died.

The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 212 countries and territories since then.

To date, COVID-19 cases have exceeded 4.1 million globally, resulting in more than 1.4 million recoveries and more than 283,000 deaths.

On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
