Ankara calls on Greek officials to rebuild destroyed Ottoman cemetery

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has sent a letter of protest to Greece, Report informs, citing the ministry.

The move follows the destruction of the Ottoman-Muslim cemetery in Western Thrace.

The letter mentions that the cemetery was demolished on the instructions of the Bulustra municipality for building a football pitch. In this respect, the Foreign Ministry of Turkiye has called on Greek officials to show the necessary sensitivity and restore the cemetery to its previous state.
