Ambassador: US sends arms to Ukraine every day

US military assistance to Ukraine will continue, Kyiv's Ambassador to the US Oksana Markarova said in an interview with Ukrinform, Report informs.

"I am confident that despite Russia's threats and demands to suspend the supply of heavy weapons, Washington's position will not change. The United States sends weapons to Ukraine every day. We expect that in the near future we will see the preparation of a new package of sanctions," she said.

On April 16, the White House announced that the first batch of new military aid had been delivered from the US to Ukraine as part of a $800 million package.

Russia has warned all countries sending weapons to Ukraine that this could have unexpected consequences.
