About 40-50 explosions occurred at the arsenal in the military unit near Arys (in the Turkestan region in the South of Kazakhstan).

Report informs citing the RIA Novosti that Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan Timur Dandybayev said.

"By the number of ammunition stored there, we suppose that there were about 40-50 explosions," Dandybayev said.

The press service of the Defense Ministry of Kazakhstan reported that there was a fire caused the explosions of ammunition at the arsenal near the settlement of Arys on June 24, where 44.3 thousand people live. Three people, including two soldiers, were killed. Residents of the city were evacuated.
