Georgia unveils number of Azerbaijani citizens held in country's prisons

Baku. 14 January. REPORT.AZ/ 94 Azerbaijani citizens are currently held in Georgian prisons.
Report's Georgia bureau informs that, according to the November report of the Georgian Justice Ministry, 21 citizens (20 men and 1 woman) of Azerbaijan are facing charges in neighbor Georgia, while 73 citizens (65 men and 8 women) were imprisoned.
Azerbaijani citizens constitute 16% of the total number of foreigners held in Georgian prisons.
588 citizens from 46 countries including the citizens of Turkey (124 prisoners - the first place among countries) serve their sentence in Georgia.
118 Iranians, 75 Russians and 27 Armenians are held in the prisons of neighbor Georgia.
