5-year-old child rescued from collapsed building after 19 hours in Turkey

Baku. 7 February. REPORT.AZ/ A 5-year-old girl was rescued from the rubble of the eight-story apartment building in Istanbul on Thursday, raising the number of survivors of the collapsed structure to 13, Report informs citing the Hurriyet.

Other three people rescued from the collapsed building are in a severe condition. The names of those who died or were injured are not dislosed. 

5-year-old Hayva Tekgöz was rescued after 19 hours.

According to Turkish Environment and Urban Planning Minister Murat Kurum, there are still people under the rubble.

Residents of 7 buildings were evacuated after the incident.

Notably, an eight-story residential building collapsed in Maltepe district of Istanbul, Turkey.
