490 more people test positive for COVID in Georgia

Georgia has reported 490 new coronavirus cases and 219 recoveries in one day, Report informs, citing the Georgian government's designated official website.
The new infections bring the country's total COVID-19 tally to 279,936, while recoveries are reaching 271,804.
Meanwhile, the deadly pathogen has claimed eight lives in one day, taking the country's COVID-19 death toll to 3,746 since the pandemic onset.
