41 detained in Turkiye over collapse of buildings during earthquakes

Some 41 people have been detained in Turkiye's Diyarbakir, Gaziantep and Sanliurfa provinces of Turkiye, Report informs via Turkiye's NTV channel.

Eight people have been arrested in Turkiye over the construction defects detected in the buildings that collapsed during the earthquakes, Report informs via Haberturk.

The magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 earthquakes rocked the Kahramanmaras province in southeastern Turkiye with an interval of nine hours on February 6.

According to the recent data, the death toll from the earthquakes has surpassed 20,000 people.
