13 Armenian opposition party members arrested amid political turmoil

Some 13 representatives of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun party have been detained as part of different criminal investigations, Report informs, citing Sputnik-Armenia. The announcement was made by Garnik Danielyan, a deputy from the Hayastan faction in the Armenian parliament.
"Among the detainees are two women and Gerasim Vardanyan, a member of the ARF Supreme Body," Danielyan noted. "A decision has already been made to arrest one of them for three months."
The deputy considers these arrests to be politically motivated persecution.
