11 die in Vladikavkaz hospital accident

The death toll in an accident at an air separation plant in a hospital in Vladikavkaz has reached 11, North Ossetia's acting Minister of Health Soslan Tebiev said.

Report informs, citing Russian media, that according to the regional health ministry, 11 people died in one day, with two of the deaths resulting from the accident.

"Doctors do not link one of them to the accident since he died of thromboembolia. The additional forensic study will be carried on one more case," the ministry said.

An underground pipe exploded in a hospital, killing nine people aged 47 to 85 years old. According to the republican Health Ministry, they were in an extremely critical condition. There were a total of 71 people in the intensive care unit.
