The timeline for the withdrawal of the US troops from Afghanistan won’t change, White House Spokesperson Jen Psaki said at a regular briefing for journalists, Report informs referring to the White House website.
She was asked if the timing for the withdrawal of the US military from Afghanistan is expected to change because US President Joe Biden will meet in Washington with his Afghan counterpart Ashraf Ghani and Head of the High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR) Abdullah Abdullah on June 25.
“I wouldn’t say I don’t anticipate - the timeline for withdrawal is not going to change by September, which, of course, is overseen by our Department of Defense,” Psaki noted.
