Vietnam: 5 killed, many injured as truck ploughs into market

A truck drove into traders at a market in the Vietnamese Ducknong province, with five people killed and five injured.

The accident occurred approximately in Dakmil County. A truck crashed into another truck and damaged several motorcycles. Then the car drove into the market and capsized over people.

According to preliminary data, the driver lost control of the truck, which has a flat tire. He is detained.

It was previously reported that in China, at least ten people died after a truck drove into a crowd of pedestrians in Xiangtan City, Hunan Province.

Between January and May, as many as 5,508 traffic accidents occurred in Vietnam, killing 2,667 people, severely injuring 1,547 people and slightly wounding 2,418 others, according to the country's Traffic Police Department.
