The United States is considering the possibility of covert operations as part of its efforts to increase pressure on Iran, US Vice President J.D. Vance said during a White House press briefing.
"I"m not going to announce exactly how we intend to engage with Iran in the coming months and years because that would deprive the president of flexibility in making decisions. But we are considering every possible option - economic pressure, military pressure, diplomatic pressure and covert pressure," Vance said in response to a question about the possibility of US covert operations against Iran.
