US President Donald Trump has instructed to suspend the provision of direct support to Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador. Report informs citing the RIA Novosti that the due information provided by ABC.
"By order of the Secretary of State (Mike Pompeo), we fulfill the President's instructions and stop the external assistance programs for the "Northern Triangle" (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador) within the 2017 and 2018 fiscal year," the state department representative told the TV channel. "We will interact with the Congress as part of this process," he added.
Politico notes citing the sources that about 627 million dollars which allocated by the Congress to the countries of Central America last year, are "in limbo" in the administrative and budgetary management of the White house.
