The US State Department intends to allocate $ 5 million for a program aimed against improving Iran's missile capabilities, said a document of the Bureau of International Security and Non-Proliferation of the State Department.
The State Department stated that Iran continues to improve its rocket potential and that such actions by Tehran, according to American experts, are a threat to US national security and contradict UN Security Council resolutions.
The Department is also interested in financing the illicit transportation and proliferation of nuclear weapons, as well as in developing measures to combat cybercrime and the transfer of technology and materials related to the development of ballistic missiles.
The program is scheduled to launch on October 1, 2021. The initiative's implementation period is 12 months; the total budget is $ 5 million (grants ranging from $ 25,000 to $ 250,000).
Commercial or non-profit organizations, private and public educational institutions, and international organizations can apply for the competition.
