US refuses to join international initiatives for COVID-19 vaccine

The United States will not participate in international efforts to develop and disseminate coronavirus vaccine, as this action is linked to the World Health Organization (WHO), Report informs, referring to Interfax.

White House spokesman Jud Deere called the WHO a corrupt organization.

He also said that the US would continue to involve international partners in the fight against COVID-19.

Deere noted that the president would not regret the Ministry of Health's funding for any new vaccine's safety and effectiveness to guarantee its standard.

More than 170 countries are participating in this WHO initiative.
