US ready to help normalize Armenia-Azerbaijan relations

The United States is committed to building a peaceful, democratic, and prosperous future in the South Caucasus, the US State Department press service said, Report informs.

The US State Department called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to intensify diplomatic contacts, use existing direct contact mechanisms to find a comprehensive solution to the conflict or its consequences, and normalize relations by reaching a complete peace agreement.

The State Department added that the United States stands ready to assist Armenia and Azerbaijan in these initiatives.
