The US intelligence services do not know precisely how the new coronavirus appeared. As one of the possibilities, they consider the version about its spread from a laboratory in China, Report informs, citing TASS.
“Basically, components have coalesced around two alternative theories. These scenarios are, it emerged naturally from human contact with infected animals, or it was a laboratory accident,” Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines told lawmakers during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing.
