By the end of 2022, Ukraine will be able to push Russian forces beyond the demarcation line that existed before February 24. A former commander of the US troops in Europe, a veteran of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, retired Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges said.
He is sure that Ukraine will liberate Crimea from occupation:
"For this, the necessary conditions must be provided. Crimea will come under the control of Ukraine at the beginning of next year. I am sure the Russians do not have the will to fight."
According to the general, the Kremlin is looking for reserve forces in North Korea, Africa, and Syria: "We have tough battles ahead in the coming weeks. Russian troops will weaken even more. However, we must provide Ukraine with everything it needs."
