US extends troop deployment at Mexico border

Baku. 15 January. REPORT.AZ / The US Authorities decided to extend the period of deployment of US troops on the border with Mexico until September 2019, Report informs citing the AFP.

"The deployment of American troops on the border with Mexico has been extended until September," the Agency noted.

At present, there are 5.6 thousand soldiers on the US-Mexican border, who provide support to US customs officers. The White House allowed them to use force and, if necessary, to protect government officials from possible attacks by migrants.
