The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has issued a statement on the ninth day of resistance against Russia.

Report informs, the citing the ministry, that the fire at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant has been extinguished, but the situation remains difficult. No death was recorded.

According to Ukrainian MoD, Russian troops have made major efforts to lay siege to Kyiv and weaken resistance in the besieged settlements: "The Russian Armed Forces have exhausted most of their operational reserves during this task. They have begun preparations for the transfer of additional forces and equipment from the Southern and Eastern military circles. The opposite side, with the help of two battalion tactical groups, launched defense operations in Poliske and Kukhari in the direction of Volyn"

According to the ministry, Russia may commit armed provocations on the border to involve the Belarusian Armed Forces in the war against Ukraine.

The official information shows the Russians are besieging Kharkiv from the north: "Russian troops failed in the Okhtyrka region and concentrated their main forces in the Hadiach and Zinkiv districts. The Russians had a significant technical advantage and laid siege to Mariupol. Fighting is going on in the direction of Luhansk. The Russians were prevented from going in the direction of Mykolaiv but partially succeeded in the direction of Voznesensk.

"The Russian naval group has been removed from maritime bases. The Russians are losing in all directions. The demotivated opponent surrenders and abandon the technique."
