Ukrainian forces strike major Russian oil refineries and defense facilities

Ukrainian defense forces struck a number of important targets on Russian territory, according to Ukraine's General Staff, cited by Report.

The strikes included the Kamensky Combine, a Russian defense-industrial facility in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky in the Rostov region, which was hit overnight on August 16. A fire was reported at the site, while the extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Ukraine also reported a strike on an area where a Russian missile unit was concentrated in Rezervne, in occupied Crimea. In addition, a railway bridge near Svitlodolinske in the occupied part of Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region was hit. The General Staff said Russian forces use the bridge for military logistics and personnel movements.

Ukrainian forces also struck Russian military logistics and ammunition depots in Karlivka, Donetsk region.

According to Ukraine's General Staff, precision strikes over the past week also hit ZapSibNeftekhim in Tobolsk, Tyumen region, which subsequently suspended operations, as well as the Orsknefteorgsintez oil refinery in Orsk, Orenburg region, including its hydrocracking and oil-processing units.
