Ukraine to receive 1B euros from Germany through IMF

Germany will provide Ukraine with 1 billion euros in grant assistance. These funds will be sent to Ukraine through the mechanism of the administrative account of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Report informs citing RBC-Ukraine.

The agreement between the governments of Ukraine and Germany was signed by Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko and German Finance Minister Christian Lindner.

Funding is expected in the near future.

The funds will be directed to the state budget of Ukraine to finance priority social and humanitarian spending during martial law, the country’s Ministry of Finance said in a statement.
