UK’s coronavirus death toll up by 847

The coronavirus death toll has increased by 847 in the UK, taking the total number of fatalities up to 14,576.
Some 5,599 new cases of coronavirus were reported on Friday by the Department of Health and Social Care. There have now been 108,692 positive tests in the UK.
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) emerged in late 2019 in China’s Hubei province, and the virus has spread to 210 countries and territories since then.
To date, COVID-19 cases surpassed 2,200,000 globally, resulting in more than 550,000 recoveries and over 148,000 deaths.
On February 11, the WHO officially named the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) as COVID-19, and on March 11, declared it a pandemic.
