UK imposes sanctions against companies from Türkiye, UAE and Switzerland

The UK has sanctioned four shipping companies for benefiting from Russian support by doing business in the energy sector, the UK government said, Report informs citing Interfax.

The sanctioned shipping companies include Fractal Marine DMCC of the UAE, Turkish Beks Ship Management, Active Shipping, and Switzerland’s Paramount Energy & Commodities SA.

Oil trader Niels Troost from Paramount Energy & Commodities SA was also sanctioned.

Azia Shipping Company and Ibex Shipping INC, which are involved in the transfer of weapons from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to Russia were also among the sanctioned companies.
