UK advises against travelling to Belarus

The UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has advised its citizens to refrain from non-essential travel to Belarus due to the risk of fighting in neighboring Ukraine, Report informs referring to the website of the Foreign Office.
“Since January 2022, the build-up of Russian forces on Ukraine’s borders, including within Belarus, has increased the threat of military action. In the event of military action taking place, our ability to offer consular assistance will be limited,” reads the message.
The FCDO now advise against all travel to Yelsk, Mazyr, Rechitsa, Luninets, Gomel, Asipovichy, Baranovichi and Brest.
