Two prison guards taken hostage in France

Two correctional officers were taken hostage at Condé-sur-Sarthe prison in northwestern France.
Report informs, citing Reuters, that, according to the statement of the French Ministry of Justice, one of the guards was wounded in the right eye.
At the moment, negotiations are underway to try to secure the release of the hostages. The security forces in prison were mobilized, and additional forces were dispatched to the prison.
French broadcaster BFMTV reported that the hostage-taking suspect was serving a long sentence for rape and murder.
