Japan confirms first cases of COVID-19 in pets

Two dogs belonging to coronavirus patient have tested positive for the coronavirus, Report says, citing CNN TURK.

The pets have been taken care of under the Stay Anicom program while their owner in isolation. The dogs have not shown any symptoms, and one has already shown negative results in more recent tests. 

According to the company, it is still premature to determine whether the pets have been indeed infected with the virus as their owners' virus might have temporarily entered their mouths to trigger positive PCR test results. Antibody test results will be necessary to make a definite diagnosis.
