Turkiye and Bulgaria have reached an agreement on the supply of about 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year, Report informs referring to Anadolu Agency.
The relevant agreement, which is valid for 13 years, has been signed in the presence of Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez.
He expressed confidence that Ankara’s steps contribute to ensuring energy security not only in Bulgaria, but also in Europe as a whole.
The Turkish-Bulgarian agreement is perceived as an important step towards the formation of a gas hub in Turkiye.
