Trudeau: Cases of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia on rise in Canada

Incidents of anti-Semitism and Islamophobia are on the rise in Canada amid ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in the national parliament, Report informs referring to TASS.

There is more hatred, and this is unacceptable, the head of government said.

He also condemned the recent attack on a Jewish center in Montreal.

Montreal police spokesperson Jean-Pierre Brabant says a 911 came in around 1 a.m. for an incendiary device thrown through the front door window of a building on Décarie Boulevard, near Vézina Street.

Rabbi Saul Emanuel, executive director for the Jewish Community Council of Montreal (JCC), says there was damage to one of the entrances of the building, but no one was injured.
