Two trains have collided near Bedford in the county of Bedfordshire.
According to Report, citing The Telegraph, a train traveling from Corby struck the rear of a train coming from Nottingham, resulting in serious injuries to several passengers.
Five air ambulances were dispatched to the scene.
According to passengers, the impact came unexpectedly and the train driver did not apply emergency braking before the collision.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated, and emergency and railway services are currently working at the site.
