Switzerland recorded more than 1,100 new cases of COVID-19 in one day, bringing the total number of infected people to 18,267, Report informs, citing the RIA Novosti.

According to official data by the Federal Office of Public Health, 1,128 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the country during the day. Besides, the death toll from the pandemic reached 54 during the day. Thus the total number of victims increased to 432.
