Sweden sees sharp decline in birth rate

In the spring of 2022, Sweden's birth rate fell to its lowest level in 20 years, while an increase was observed during the pandemic, Report" informs via SVT TV.
In January-April, 35,467 babies were born in Sweden, which is 2,483 babies fewer than in the same period of last year.
The last time Sweden saw a decline in the birth rate was in the late 1990s amid the economic crisis.
