"I don't rule out NATO membership in any way," Sweden's prime minister Magdalena Andersson told Swedish public television SVT, adding that a review of the country's security policy was underway.
Earlier, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said that the alliance's foreign ministers agreed to expand cooperation with Finland and Sweden. Stoltenberg noted that the two countries will participate in all consultations of the organization on the crisis in Ukraine.
Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin has said that the country is ready to apply for NATO membership if the issue of national security is on the agenda.
