Baku. 28 January. REPORT.AZ/ A whopping 63% of Americans believe the country is on the “wrong track” after the longest government shutdown in history.
Report informs citing the survey conducted by NBC News/Wall Street Journal that about 68% of participants in the last survey, describing their attitude to what is happening in the United States, used words and phrases with a negative assessment: "catastrophe", "deterioration", "disorder", "hard times". A month earlier, during a similar survey, those who were dissatisfied were 56%.
Social research was conducted at a time when the work of the federal government was still suspended in the country due to the budget crisis. The work was resumed only after President Donald Trump last week signed a bill to allocate funds for government departments until February 15.
Trump’s personal rating has remained virtually unchanged compared to the December poll: the president is supported by 43% of Americans, while 54% are against him.
