Spain, along with a number of European countries, postponed recognition of Palestine as a state, Prime Minister of the Kingdom Pedro Sanchez said in an interview with La Sexta TV channel.
According to him, this will happen not on May 21, as previously planned, but a little later.
Among the countries supporting this decision, the prime minister named Ireland, Malta and Slovenia.
Sanchez explained the delay by saying that Madrid is coordinating its actions with other countries in order to"be able to make a statement and joint recognition."
