Spain names reason behind refusal to provide Kyiv with Leopard tanks

The Spanish Government will not give the Leopard series tanks stored at the Zaragoza military base to Ukraine, Minister of Defense of Spain Margarita Robles told El Mundo newspaper.

“We cannot send the Leopards stored in Zaragoza that have not been used for many years. Simply because they are in an absolutely miserable state,” the minister said.

Besides, the minister stressed that Spain does not give these tanks to Ukraine, as it may cause an increase in civilian casualties.
