Spain: Coronavirus death toll passes 14,500

The number of daily coronavirus deaths rose in Spain for the second day as 757 people died over the past 24 hours, Report says, citing Health Ministry of the country.

According to the information, thus the death toll from the pandemic reached 14,555.

Notably, yesterday the total number of fatalities was 13,798.

The coronavirus infection began to spread in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December last year. 209 states and regions have already reported on confirmed cases.

The number of people infected with coronavirus globally has so far reached 1 441 000, 393 736 of them have recovered, while 82 933 have died.

The World Health Organization (WHO) named the infection COVID-19 on February 11. On March 11, the organization declared the coronavirus a pandemic.
